User Guide easiFax 2.x
The three main differences between
easiFax1.0 and easiFax2.0:
a) easiFax2.0
has eliminated its own inferior faxing engine instead it will just piggyback
on the Windows’ superior faxing engine that come along with Windows either
preinstalled or install on demand. This makes sense for not reinventing the
wheel.
b)
easiFax2.0 will be acting as a bridge to manage fax number lists and pump it
to the Windows’ Fax console in order to be faxed out.
c)
easiFax2.0 will be the only one fax marketing software that can import
easiSend’s business fax number list which is growing and expanding from
country to country.
Step i: Install and
Configure Windows Fax service if it is not pre-installed and not configured.

Step ii: Connect Phone
Line to Computer
Subscribe
a traditional phone line or VOIP phone line and connect it to your modem
(currently most modems are fax capable unless your modem is very old) at your
PC as shown in the picture below.
It
is advisable to get a VOIP (Voice-Over-IP) line instead of a traditional
phone line to save money since you bought this software to send many faxes;
this software is already pre-configure to overwrite your modem setting in
order to send faxes via VOIP line at the best possible way. However you need
to do two things on your side:
o
a)
Make sure your VOIP service supports T.38 protocol (most providers support
this, however cannot take it for granted), it is an audio codec designed for
faxing over VOIP. If you are not sure, please call up your VOIP provider to
find out.
o
b)
Optional: if your VOIP adapter is not locked by your provider, set the
packetization to 10 milliseconds or less, this is to reduce synchronization
error.
However,
be bear in mind that traditional phone line will still produce the best fax
quality and performance, the catch is just the cost.

Step iii: Login
To
begin using the software, please login with the User Name and Password of
your account (same as the one you login at www.easisend.com). If this is the
first time you login in the current computer, you will be prompted to
register the current PC ID as shown below. The PC once registered cannot be
removed. The login will fail if the login info is wrong, current PC ID does
not match the previously registered ones and all the available PC ID slots
had been fully registered. To add new PC ID slots, please login to the
membership page online to purchase more PC slots for the current account.

easiSend’s Singapore Business Contact List based on the search criteria.
Step 2: Configure
Settings
a)
Click "Edit" to activate this section for editing.
b)
Specify a country code, if any, of the fax numbers to be omitted. Usually,
omit the country code if you want to dial within the country itself.
While
doing faxing within the country, there are two scenarios: you can be either
fax to the same state (same area code) or fax to other state (different area
code). Below are the two scenarios.
c)
Faxing to recipients of the same area, omit all area code of the fax numbers
that similar to yours, then prefix it with certain number if any such as *67
to hide caller ID. *67 only works for certain lines.
f)
Faxing to recipient of different area, usually needs to prefix a zero in
front of the area code. *670 to hide caller ID for certain line.

Click
“Settings Example” to view sample configuration and the resulting numbers
produced.

Step 3: Start Faxing
a)
Open a PDF file to be faxed. To send mass faxes, we highly recommend that
your PDF file be strictly limited to only ONE page. This is to speed up
tremendous amount of time especially you are using VOIP line, more pages
higher chances to get transmission error. Click “Submit to Windows Fax
Server” to submit faxes to Windows Fax Server. You can monitor the fax
progress by opening up Windows Fax Console. To know how to open the Fax Console,
please refer to Step i above.
